Hi Ryan,
Sometimes trick decks or gaffed cards can have a big impact when handled VERY well and not overused, but it's a fine line. I bet there are many different opinions on their pros/cons here.
Personally, I like them from a collectors viewpoint but know that a good cardhandler can duplicate a most of the effects with regular Bikes and their imagination. Plus it seems that just using a "normal" deck lets you work "under the radar" by not calling extra attention to the cards themselves. However, I'm sure there are as many takes on this as there are users of the various decks.
I'd stick my neck out about particular deck brands/types, but my iron man collar is still in the shop and I'm afraid there are several folks ready to drop the axe if Brown Wynns, Black Ghosts or Jerrys Nuggets are praised openly (--rapidly ducking for cover--)
L8R,
Ran
