Has anyone else noticed the bad image being created for Magicians on America's Got Talent?

The show has become more of a Gong Show exploitation show than a real talent contest lately. A recent clip of magic segments on the show was edited to make the participants look foolish. Comedy bits where edited to look like failed magic when in fact they were part of the routine.


I know several fine performers who did not make it on stage while a woman who smashes watermelons with her breasts did. The show has gone from not much to pretty bad. If there is a 5 season don't be in such a rush to jump into this fiasco.

Update....

Just spoke to a friend who was on the show. She told me of how the live audience was asked to ham it up for the cameras and boo. They were told it would make for some fun shots and when they weren't animated enough they were told to do " thumbs down" gestures..etc.

These shots are then edited in later when they want to make someone look like they did poorly. My friend watched the show and saw several acts get booed on television that really didn't the day she saw the show live.

As if Jerry Springers participation wasn't enough of a hint at the direction the show is going? LOL

That disappoints me that they edit it to make the magicians look bad. I know it's a business and that it is their job to entertain, but from my view it's stupid and shouldn't have been done.

I don't want much AGT but to learn this was disappointing.
