I personaly say, the gaff deck in general is a big waste of time and money just because the cards can and will get worn out very fast after numerous uses.
Also the effects in there do take a little bit of setup and in a walk around situation, you wouldn't have the time to.

I would have to disagree. I like having gaff gards on my at all times. Really hits hard if you throw a 3 1/2 club routinue in the middle of your set. I do agree though that the cards can were fast, but there is enough different ones in the deck you get to create your own effects. Looking at a gaff deck, and getting your creative mind thinking ,is an excellent way to build laterial thinking.

I Have to agree with Jeremy on this one, they can really perk up the performance if done in the right situation!
Hey --
Maybe James and the Crew should come out with a Gaff Deck and a Companion DVD OF THERE OWN!!!!

I have bought gaff decks and even bought the Army of 52 DVD.
I find that I get more reaction from reg cards then a card that might have a printed zipper on it. People are smarter then that. What I did I saved up some $ and went to Costco and bought a ton of card boxes. 12 desks in a box. What I did was made 54 decks of each color. Aces, 2 of hearts, 5 of clubs ect. That way when I do a torn card or have someone sign a card I am not loosing a full deck. I just replace it with the card I forced earlier on the person.

I seem to recall the JJ was offering the DVD 'Card Splitting', which is the answer to this legit concern about gimmicked cards being worn out fairly quickly. Answer? make your own replacements!
Brian has a good idea - if you can afford them. You could even put aside some of the cards to use as a "Give-a-way" or 'trade marks' ie A S or Q H.
If you wanted to go even further; you could make up some simple self working effects using basic mechanics. How many times have I been asked how to do 'a trick' (as in: "show me something I could do"). I might even try this idea out and see what reaction I get.

Reason: I liked Brians idea, as you can tell.
