But I think you should lower the amount of forums until the forum fills up. Then add all the boards, so that it doesn't seem like the whole board is empty.

That might be a good idea. People may not realise the site has just been launched.

We also still have some content to move across from the old forums. Perhaps we can get the admins to send out an email to all the subscribers to let them know of the site launch?

They know what they are doing more than I do. Maybe they have a plan, I don't know. I have some (lol, I'm trying to be humble here) experience running message boards. I quit in 2005. If they have content from an old board, then definitly bring that over.

I was trying to help out Magicians Unite for a while but after I helped get tons of people in their, it kind of died off.

Well I hope you stick around. It's always good to have people with experience around. I too run a forum but not based around magic so hopefully together we can give admin a bit of advice should they need it

I think a launch email will definately help. That way people know it's gone up and we'll get a concentrated amount of traffic in one go to get things rolling.

But this is a bit different then the forums I'm used to since the ones I ran were primarily about Philosophy and The XXI Empire. This board has an actual site attached to it with content that people are going to be reading. So this is cool.

For about 2 years I've been looking for a board that I can put my effort behind. I found one, but the people on the board weren't really into progressing this art. Many say they do, but very few act up on it. Hopefully I can invite some people over here that can make this a great board to be involved in.
