What is Woot Magic?

WOOT is a term used online, and officially inducted into the Merriam-Webster dictionary that is used to express joy or happiness. It is also an accepted acronym that means Want One Of Those.

This section of the Black's Magic website is about getting you great magic products on the cheap. Hosted by Chris "Orbit" Brown, with occasional guest spots, the tagline is "One Dude. One Product. One Day."

Each day we will feature one product and provide you with a code for 20% off. You can use that code for 24 hours, and then the product goes back up to full retail cost. But don't worry magic junkie, another one will be there the next day just in time to fulfill your addiction.

Why is there only one product?

Because we're too damn lazy to put up two.

How long does the sale last?

See above. 24 hours or until the products are sold out. Period. The sale runs from approximately midnight to midnight the next day, Pacific Standard Time. If the item sells out, you won't see another product until the next day and you'll not be allowed to order it (our cart is grouchy like that).

How many can I buy?

As many as we have in stock when you make the order. There are no limitations. Buy one for your mom, sister, brother, or that distant cousin serving time in San Quentin.

If I don't get the product in time, can I get it tomorrow?

Nope. That sort of defeats the program. Sorry.

What kind of customer service will I get?

Very little. No, we mean it.

You order it and we ship it using the service you requested in about 2-3 days after we get the order slip from you. That's pretty much it. Everything we send out is exactly as it came to us.

Woot Magic is its own beast inside the belly of Black's Magic. If you want it, buy it. If not, don't. You can get it at a sales price today or buy it full price tomorrow.

If you don't want it after you purchased it, give it away, use it as a paperweight, sell it on an online auction site. If you don't like it, that's your deal not ours. If you can't figure out how to use it, try finding someone who understands it and talk to them. Try our forums. Ask around.

There are no guarantees except as provided by law. That's pretty much it. We offer a discounted price on great products, you don't get any food or beverage service on this flight.

How do I return a defective product?

Contact the maker. Yep, you heard it right. Unless we specifically tell you otherwise, all sales are final and you need to take up any workmanship issues with the guy who made it. They are legally responsible for defective products. Be polite. Ask them nicely. And they will probably hook you up.

Understand something: if you come to us because you can't find a solution asking for a refund, you won't get it. We probably won't have another in stock either, so you won't get a new one. We will offer you an in-store credit only. These are sales items, not regular stocked inventory. Our RMA system is built into the cart; you can access it there. We generally will respond in 48 hours.

Do you have an RSS feed?

Yep. Use it and you'll get the announcement the moment our next Woot Magic item begins.

How do I order?

Click on the "Buy Now" button and login to the cart. You can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal. You can't send us an IOU, we don't accept small children in exchange, and blood diamonds are not a form of currency we recognize (unless you call us on the side).

What about shipping?

We will use the cheapest route to send these products out. Once it leaves us, that's the last we think about it. Our goal is to provide a tracking number for every product we send out in the USA. You can use that in your account to check and see what's going on. But most importantly, don't call us the next day asking where your product is after you've ordered it. For goodness sake, packages aren't shipped at the same speed it takes to send an email. And oh, we don't ship overseas anymore. Unless you want to call us and pay some BIG bucks, that's it.

Who is Chris Brown?

Chris "Orbit" Brown is Woot Monkey. That is, he is the host of our Woot Magic section and the "One Dude" in the "One Dude. One Product. One Day" slogan.

He's a cool cat we hired and is the face behind the reviews you get to watch each day. He does not offer customer service, he's not your friend, and he doesn't do private functions, and he's on contract with Black's Magic, so don't ask him to host your company's Woot Magic section!
