James L. Clark is an ardent and dedicated leader who has devoted his entire life to serving others and assisting individuals to discover and develop their full potential. Not only an entertainer and magician, James is also a prolific writer and highly sought after as a lecturer and mentor with significant expertise in the fields of human performance, leadership, and influence.

James believes that the purpose of his life is to be a loving, passionate, and powerful example of the absolute joy available to us the moment we are willing to accept and rejoice in the gifts endowed to us by our creator. His current focus is to expand his influence around the globe by introducing exciting new live an televised shows utilizing the art of magic to positively impact soceity.

Troy D. Cherry is a serial-entrepreneur and experienced team builder, manager, and business leader specializing in organizational development and strategic administration. As co-founder of Black's Magic, Troy played a significant role in the company's initial development including the structuring, logistics, administration, human resources, and product development. He also acted as an initial editor and contributor for Street Magic Magazine, penning one of the most widely discussed articles entitled, "Does God Care About Magic". As a producer, Troy co-created or had a direct hand in nearly all of our initial product line to include The Dracula Book Test, The Sherlock Holmes Book Test, The War of the Worlds Book Test, The Harry Houdini Book Test, and many others. He now serves in an advisory capacity as he focuses on entrepreneurial ventures with other start-ups.

Team Member: H. V. Tarter

H. V. Tarter is an accomplished business leader, entrepreneur, and consultant. He serves primarily in an executive mentoring capacity on the Steering Committee and as a strategic member of our Advisory Board. Members of the Committee are responsible for general operating policy, procedures, and related matters affecting Black's Magic Group as a whole.

As the "First Chair" of the Advisory Board, H. V. provides significant input and strategic advice that has lead to many of our businesses successes.

Team Member: Jamie D. Grant

Jamie D. Grant is a Master Magician who has been hired to perform for some of the most famous celebrities in the world and who has amazed and mystified even the likes of Cirque Du Soleil. He's been featured in Ripley's Believe It Or Not's website, book, and even their syndicated comic and is known the world over. With a unique mixture of classic magic and comedy, Jamie brings his audiences to a place of laughter and wonder. As a member of staff, Jamie plays a significant role in the production of our magazine and wears several hats including that of an editor, manager, and contributor.

Team Member: Stathi Zaf

Stathi Zaf is one of the most imaginative and creative artists we have on our staff. As the lead Magineer (a portmanteau word that combines "magic" and "engineer") for Black's Magic Group, President of Unique Magic Concepts (his own magic consulting firm), and co-owner of a multi-million dollar fuel company in NJ, Stathi is largely responsible for making our dreams come true. That is, if we can imagine it, Stathi plays a critical role in helping us find a way to make it happen in the real world from concept to prototyping to working model to finished effect. It doesn't matter if it is close up or as big as a stadium, we rely heavily on Stathi's firm grasp of the magical and industrial arts to make things happen. He regularly serves on location providing us insight for DVD and TV shoots, and has personally created effects featured on TV by top magicians.

Jeremy Hanrahan is a professional magician with extensive experience in the close-up enviroment. With hundreds of shows under his belt, Jeremy brings an intimate understanding of magic and entertainment to the crew that is both deep and practical. And his no-nonsense approach to business has made him an invaluable part of the company. Currently he serves in several capacities: as a project manager he provides leadership and management to one of our creative teams; as a recruiter for new tallent, he is one of the first people artists will come into contact with here; and as a creator, Jeremy brings his personal interests and ideas to the table daily. He's also a MOD in the forums, so make sure you stop by and introduce yourself.

Team Member: Todd Diamond

Todd Diamond was drawn into the world of magic when he saw David Copperfield's show with his parents. He quickly turned his interest into a serious hobby, learning the basics of close-up and sleight of hand and eventually turned that hobby into a full time profession, performing all over the world. He's an expert pickpocket, close-up artist, accomplished stage performer, and magic creator whose commercially marketed products are in magic shops all over the world. Todd is the consummate professional; he's had regular gigs in Branson, MO and overseas including in Saipan and 13 TV specials in Indonesia; he's also been featured on MTV Asia and MTV Sky.

Team Member: Jesse Feinberg

Jesse has been a magician all his life; like many of us, he started out early and got the bug when he was a child. He would read through catalogs and try to figure out how the effects were created and would try to get to the shops in Boston whenever it was possible. This interest in methods and mechanics grew into a passion and later a profession. As a fulltime creator, Jesse immerses himself in magic everyday always looking to create something new, innovative, and easy to use. His magic inventions are now used all over the world by amateur and professional magicians.

Team Member: Jordan Johnson

Jordan Johnson in a magic prodigy that came out of nowhere and stunned magicians around the world with his first release entitled Holy Grail, a visual advancement in the Torn & Restored card plot. Jordan's incredible level of creativity, extreme attention to detail, self-discipline, and drive lead to him being activly recruited for a spot on one of our creative teams. In 2007 Jordan joined our staff as a featured artist to not only represent his own creations, of which there are many, but to also serve as one of the "faces" of Black's Magic to the public in print, online, and on video. Jordan brings a level of ingenuity and an ability to think outside the box that sets the bar very high indeed.

Team Member: Chris "Orbit" Brown

Chris "Orbit" Brown is a new breed of magician who has embraced the Internet as an alternative venue to those traditional used to garner experience and exposure. As a YouTube.com all-star, Chris managed to reach millions of people from multiple-continents and develop a fan base that rivals some of the most sought after performers around the world. His attitude, approach to Street Magic, and willingness to dive in and "do" rather than "talk" got him noticed by our company, and in 2007 he was recruited to come on board as a featured artists to serve as one of the "faces" of Black's Magic to the public. In 2008 he was promoted to take over as a manager for a new project called "Woot Magic", wherein he reviews one product a day, every day, that is sold at a discount for 24 hours.

Michael Afshin is one of the most talented underground magicians we've ever met. He first came to us with several effects including his "Dream Fly", "International Dream Fly", and the "Anywhere Coin"; magic effects so smooth and clean that seeing them in action totally shocked our senses. After his first shoot with us on location, we developed a fantastic relationship with Michael and invited him to have a more active role with Black's Magic; he graciously accepted. As a creator, Michael he is a genius. As a person, he is one of the most integrity based and genuinely nice people we have ever met. He is both an asset to our company, and the kind of friend you want to emulate.

Eric Jones. Have you ever seen him work? Trust us, you'd remember the experience if you had, because Eric is one of the most talented magicians currently rising through the ranks of the magic fraternity. Previously underground, Eric is emerging as the heir apparent in close up coin working. As one of our featured artists and creative team members, Eric brings a presentation style and way of thinking that is uniquely his own. He is often referred to as "godhands"; there's a reason for it.

Team Member: Corey Burke

Corey was first introduced to magic at the young age of five. Over the course of the next twelve years he continued to study, learn, and grow. At the age of 17 he decided that it was time to start performing professionally, and things took off from there. He paid his way through college doing private parties, teaching lessons, and working at the magic shop he used to frequent as a child. It began to appear that Engineering was no longer in his future. Today Corey is an award winning magician, his magic has taken him half way around the world and back, he lectures to his peers, has published two DVDs that are distributed world-wide.

The youngest member of the Black's Magic team, we had to get his parent's permission to feature him. But what a choice. This "kid" may be younger in years, but he's certainly not young in ability. For having only been involved in magic for a few years, he's already created jaw-dropping effects that leave audiences in shock. Focused on developing purely impromptu magic tricks that anyone can do, anywhere, and anytime, John's thinking has earned him a spot on our staff normally reserved for creator's twice his age. Inovative, tenacious, determined; John personifies the positive attributes that we look for in an artist.

Nabil Murday originally hails from Los Angeles, where he was a favorite magician at the world famous Magic Castle. After winning 10 international awards for his unique style of magic including 4 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze, he burst onto the entertainment scene performing for millions of people through an appearance on MTV in Asia and countless shows at The Bellagio Casino and Resort, The Disneyland Hotel, The Hard Rock Cafe-Tokyo, The Hyatt Regency Saipan, for Korean Air, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort, Marianas Resort and Spa, The Yokomama Foundation, Planet Hollywood-Las Vegas, and at the World Resort Saipan.

Team Member: Cliff Rusnick

Cliff Rusnick is a young and upcoming magician from Ottawa, Canada. Interested in magic since childhood, Cliff had honed his skills and creativity creating dozens of unique effects by the time he had graduated from high school. Now in his 20s, Cliff has performed both in the US and Canada for a variety of venues and is currently consulting for televisionand stage. With no end to his creativity, we expect to see a lot more from Cliff in the future.

KJ is one of our more ellusive members of our staff, and he prefers it that way. Well, so do we as he plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership here at Black's Magic, and oversees the implementation of network security at the corporate level. So we really don't want him getting distracted. He also identifies and meets the present and future technological needs of Black's Magic while providing critical advice and leadership that assists us in improving our infrastructure both internally and externally. He may not be a performer in the magic sense, but he certainly does create magic by keeping us running smoothy. Without KJ, we'd quickly realize just how dependant we are on computers. Thank god that we never have to return to paper processing.

Team Member: Kipp Sherry, B.A. (Business Administration/Computer Information)

Position: Senior Forum Moderator / The Man In Charge of The Forums

Kipp Sherry is one of those un-sung heroes that often get's forgotten about because he spends most of his time enforcing policy and engaging the public on our forums rahter than up-front like some of the other team mebers. But Kipp is far more than "just" a moderator, he's also an accomplished magician performing well over 100 paid gigs every year for corporate and private audiences. Kipp's also created and marketed several of his own magic effects to include the revolutionary "Egress Reveal" P-Pik Prediction Cards, which sold out world wide and is now a collector's item. As one of the founding/charter members of the I.B.M. Ring 364, Wikipedia should list Kipp as the definition for "Magicians Helping Magicians".

Chris is an all around talented individual who is accomplished in skydiving, magic, and programming to a degree that few comprehend, let alone reach. Experienced in nearly every major web-side programming language, including PHP, ASP, PERL, and JavaScript to name but a few, much of what you see here at www.blacksmagicgroup.com is the result of his leadership in concert with strategic direction and design concepts forwarded by the Black's Magic team. Chris is a welcome part of the company, whose value is only partially realized at this juncture. We expect great things from him.

Mary Thompson came to Black's Magic with a significant background as a customer service manager with a large public company known for leading the way worldwide as the model of how customers should be treated, and she now leads the team you will most often come in contact with here. Every company needs someone (or something) that can handle security. Well, we've invested in who we fondly call "The Beast". Sure, that's not his real name, but he prefers to keep it under wraps to protect his identity. Anyone who has spent time with Black's Magic on location or at the office has encountered The Beast personally and knows who this is. One of handfull of rare-breed Cane Corso Italian Mastiff's owned by Mr. Clark, The Beast goes everywhere the staff goes and is sufficiently trained to handle circumstances that would make most grown men cower in the corner with their thumb in their mouths desperate for their mothers.
